Thought so, I sorta remember reading strut tower deformation was a problem in R53 and maybe some R56  especially when driven properly (vigorously). So far mine seems OK

I’ve got ‘em on my R55 [ just plates that are sandwiched  between the strut top mount and the strut tower and were pretty cheap] as what felt to be a reasonable ‘peace of mind’ purchase.
